Frequently Used Products in August (2011)

Time flies. That is all I can say... Here are the products I've frequently used in the month of August:

1. Lioele Beyond the Solution BB Cream: The only reason why I'm using this bb cream is because it's the only thing that's currently matching my neck. It doesn't provide any coverage for me, but I like the way it evens out my skin tone. Also, I don't really believe what bb creams claim to do for the skin, but I have noticed that my skin looks so good whenever I take off my makeup at the end of the day. Coincidence? Maybe.

2. Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer Kit: I don't really like the setting powder provided in the kit, but the concealer is ok. It's not holy-grail material, but it does the job.

3. Bobbi Brown Corrector: It's nothing special. The only reason why I'm using it is because I bought it. I plan on doing a full review of both corrector and concealer soon!

4. Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush - Exposed: This blush is amazing! It doesn't look like much in the pan, but once applied, it brightens up my whole face without looking overdone. Whenever in doubt, this is the blush I reach for.

5. Chanel Topkapi Quad: This quad is simply beautiful and versatile for every day use. I have a review on it here.

6. Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow - Birthday Suit: This is a beautiful shimmery taupe color that may be used as a lovely base or by itself. It wears like a dream.

7. Jack Black Lip Balm: One of the best lip balms I've ever used!

8. Benefit Speed Brow: I've been too lazy to fill in my brows and this is the only tinted brow gel that I own. After using it a couple of times, I can honestly say I will not repurchase this product after I run out... My eyebrows may look more tamed, but that's nothing a clear brow gel couldn't fix.

9. Benefit They're Real! mascara: This is my new favorite mascara by far! It can get a little clumpy, but I'm still trying different ways to apply it.

{Review} Chanel Topkapi Quad

First off, let me just say I have never owned any Chanel eyeshadows/quads before. Every time I would swatch them at a Chanel counter, the textures and payoff were a huge turnoff; you could get better quality eyeshadows at the drugstores!

When Chanel came out with the Topkapi quad from the Byzance de Chanel Collection, I knew I couldn't resist. Not only do they have beautiful quilted patterns and the sophisticated Chanel logo etched into them, these eyeshadows deliver!

The Topkapi Quad includes a rich chocolate brown with multi-color shimmer, a silvery taupe with multi-color shimmer, a dark burgundy brown with a multi-color shimmer, and a shimmery golden yellow.

A lot of people would probably say that these colors are dupable. However, the unbelievable buttery smooth texture and color pay off is incredible! It is a versatile quad that could be used for work or play all year round. If you could still get your hands on one, I recommend snatching it. I love mine so much that I bought a backup.

All About Blushology.

Hi. My name is Linh and I am a 24 year old university student who is still indecisive about what I want to do with my life. I am currently working at a Non-Profit Child Development Centers Organization and although I enjoy my job, I know my current job position isn't my last; I plan to keep moving forward some day.

Aside from education and work, I happen to have a fun, yet expensive, hobby: makeup. I do not claim to be a professional, nor do I claim to be good at it for that matter! I just love makeup.

What you can expect from this blog is mainly one thing: hauls. I probably will post reviews here and there, but I will not deny that I buy a lot makeup even if I do not technically need them. Please know that I do these posts because I'm sharing the love and not bragging; that is not my intention. I, myself, love watching/reading haul videos/posts and blogging about beauty things, even if they're just hauls, makes me happy.

Please feel free to request for a review whenever you see a product(s) that you're interested in. I will be more than happy to fulfill them! Also, constructive criticism is always welcomed.
