Another Sweet Package from Carol (kusanagigirlbeautyblog)

Hello All! Once again, I would like to apologize for the lack of posts. I've been extremely busy and it may be like this for a couple of more weeks. I will be sure to post my May Favorites along with my Ins & Outs as soon as I can!

I received this lovely package from Carol (kusanagigirlbeautyblog) mid-May! I would have posted it sooner, but I haven't had the time to go online much. Anyway, please stop by Carol's blog (link) if you haven't done so already! It has a little bit of everything, which is one of the reasons why I enjoy reading her blog so much.

The package:

A letter & Sephora giftcard

more Envie de Neuf masks. I've been on a mask kick lately, so I was happy to receive these! My mother-in-law has been enjoying these too!

- a pack of Compress Veil for DIY facials
- Konjac sponge from Taiwan
- Mentholatum Acnes White Cleanser

- Clinique Vitamin C Lip Smoothie - Mango-thon
- Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Frame Plus

Unfortunately, I've only had time to tried the masks and the mascara (which I'm so happy to announce that I've finally found my HG mascara -- well I didn't find it, it was all thanks to Carol!). They're all so new and unique, I'm so excited to try them all!

Thank you so much, Carol! Your package really made my day! =)

MyGlam Bag - May, 2012

Why hello there! Here is what I received in this month's MyGlam:

The bag

 Concealer & Defining Eyeliner Brush

Philosophy Sweet Love Sweet Love fragrance sample

Miss Beauty Nail Bling

Studio Gear Complete Color Lipstick - Very Hot Cocoa

I'm not pleased with this month's bag, but I'm not upset about it either... I guess I feel indifferent.

I'm very close to unsubscribing, but my brain is telling me to give it another month.

We'll see... I decided to unsubscribe to myglam... I'm never satisfied and I'm better off spending $10 elsewhere!

Thanks for stopping by!

Another Haul.

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great Mother's Day!

I stopped by Sephora to pick up two things, but walked out with three. Not bad, if I don't say so myself.

Shiseido Eudermine Revitalizing Essence
My current toner, DFF Aloe Toning Complex, isn't really working out as I thought it would. In fact, it's very similar to MAC Fix+, which I only use to help my makeup look less cakey. I've heard great things about this Shiseido product, so I figured I'd splurge a little for my skin.

Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Cream - Mudslide
This is one of those my lips but better shades and it feels really nice and refreshing on the lips. It's a bit sticky, but I don't mind.

Lorac Unzipped Palette
I know... how many neutral/natural palette can a girl possibly need, right? This palette is really different than the ones I own though - most of these shades lean pink. And the sleek packaging is a huge plus!

Aren't they beautiful?

And that would be it for my haul. Thanks so much for stopping by!

My "It Was Necessary" Haul

Hi everyone! I hope you are all having a great week so far. I seriously cannot wait for today to be over, so I can spend some quality time with the hubby this weekend! Anyway, here are the products that I've purchased within the last three weeks:

From Sephora:
Jennifer Aniston perfume
I was looking for a spring and summer scent and this seemed to be the perfect fit. I was actually planning to get Alien by Thierry Mugler, but they both smelled very similar.

Clinique High Impact Curling Mascara
I was looking for a non-waterproof mascara that wouldn't give me raccoon eyes by the end of the day. I've read great things about tubing mascaras, so I thought I'd give this a try. I'm really liking it so far! It doesn't smudge, yet it's very easy to remove... all you need is warm water!

L'Occitane Dry Skin Hand Cream
I owned this hand cream once upon a time, but have no idea what happened to it. I'm loving it so far! It's lightweight, non-greasy (unless you use a lot... a little goes a long way), and has a very clean scent. I think I may be one of the few who actually likes the packaging... it seems like I wouldn't have to cut the tube in half just to use up all the product at the very end - I think.

Too Faced The Naked Look Palette
This was a 500 point perk! I haven't had the chance to try this mini palette yet, but it seemed nice for travel.

From ebay:
Holika Holika Wonder Drawing Dot Liner
I'm always looking for a great liner that wouldn't smudge. I haven't tried this yet, but I'll be sure to update about it.

From the drugstore:
Sonia Kashuk Flat-Top Sculpting Brush
When I read about this brush on a makeup board, I was intrigued. Every time I stopped by Target, this brush was always sold out. When I finally found it, there was only one left in stock... who could resist that?

Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer SPF 30
The hubby got this for me yesterday when he stopped by Walgreens. I've heard nothing but great reviews about this product and I was in need of a facial sunscreen anyway. We'll see how it goes.

And that would be it for my haul. Thanks for stopping by!

Frequently Used Products & Products I've Used Up/Tossed ~ April, 2012

Here are the frequently used products I've used in April:

Givenchy Photo'Perfexion foundation
I've been really loving this foundation so far. It doesn't provide much coverage, which probably is one of the reasons why it feels so lightweight and comfortable, but it's enough to even out my skin-tone and helps my skin look more radiant.

MAC Rubenesque paintpot
This golden peach cream shadow is what I've been using on a regular basis. I've been really lazy, so what I do is just apply it all over the lid, make sure there aren't any harsh lines, and put on some mascara.

Make Up For Ever Smoky Lash mascara
I love the dramatic look that it gives my lashes: super black, thick, and a lot of volume, but the one thing I dislike about it is the fact that it can get very smudgy depending on how oily my skin is on certain days. I may have to try the waterproof version later on.

MAC Studio Careblend powder
I've been using this powder as a setting powder. It doesn't control oil or anything, but I love the finish that it provides.

MAC Immortal Flower blush
It's a beautiful soft peach blush. I can't get enough of it!

MAC Copperplate eyeshadow
I've been using this eyeshadow on my eyebrows and it looks so natural!

MAC Superb Extra Dimension Skinfinish
It's a beautiful highlight powder!

Products I've Used Up/Tossed in April:

Tend Skin
I've mentioned this product on my blog a couple of times now, but I use it to prevent ingrown hair. It's a miracle product for me!

Will I repurchase? Of course. I already have a backup.

Kirkland Facial Wipes
These wipes are one of the most gentle face wipes I have ever used. However, ever since I started using cleanse off oil, I've stopped using wipes on my face... What I mainly use it for now is to take off swatches.

Will I repurchase? After I use all of my packs.... probably not.

Soap & Glory Hand Food
It smelled amazing, but I honestly feel like it's overhyped. I'm probably only feeling this way because my skin is sensitive to certain scents right now though, but I've used better.

Will I repurchase? No.

Clarisonic brush head for Sensitive Skin
It was time to replace my brush head on my Clarisonic Mia.

Will I repurchase? Of course.
Clinique All About Eyes cream (deluxe sample)
This deluxe sample size product lasted me two months! It's a very lightweight, yet moisturizing, eye cream that I always seem to go back to.

Will I repurchase? Maybe in the future.

Urban Decay Primer Potion - mini
I know I could depot it, but I'd rather not risk an eye infection due to the possibility of getting some of the plastic particles into the product.

Will I repurchase? Not right now... I have a lot of eyeshadow primers to go through.

Sibu Sea Buckthorn Seed Oil
I bought this product because I thought it would help with my eczema. It helped temporarily, but I don't think it helped enough for me to want to repurchase. Plus, I can't stand the smell!

Will I repurchase? Nope.

Thanks for stopping by!
