Erin Condren - 2014 Life Planner Review

Hey beauties. Today I have a review of the Erin Condren Life Planner for 2014. I mentioned in my last planner review (link) that I didn't plan to purchase one for 2014... However, after a month and a half of using a weekly Moleskine planner, I knew no other planner would do.

For this year, I decided to purchase the gold edition in purple. Gold editions cost an extra $25 than regular life planners, but it's beautiful and I love it!

The gold edition planner comes with an elastic band. If you're the kind of person who likes to throw things into your purse, an elastic band would be super handy to help prevent the pages from messing up. Keep in mind that regular life planners do not include elastic bands, but you can purchase a set of 3 if interested.

This is what you will see when you first open the planner. For gold edition planners, it comes with an extra sheet in front with gold dots.

Right off the bat, I noticed a tab for every section this year (except for the stickers section): special dates, 2013/2014 calendar, monthly calendars, notes, and contact. Last year, there were only tabs for each month.

Besides the tab, the special dates section is exactly the same as last years. I always use this section to keep track of birthdays and anniversaries, but I've seen others use it for gratitude.

Calendar Overview

Like last year's planner, each month has a two-page month spread. This year, there's a "notes" section on the right side (as opposed to "goals" and "to do" from last year). I used washi tape to block out the gaps in the calendar.

Next is the weekly calendar. The days are still divided into 3 sections: morning, day, and night. Unlike last year, there is a "goals and notes" section on every weekly calendar page. There is also a new section at the bottom to add lists, meal plans, thoughts, exercise plans, inspirations, or whatever you want.

Every planner comes with a snap-in page maker. The perks of having a gold edition is the cute gold details in the back.

Like last year's planner, you'll find lined paper and blank white paper with beautiful designs for notes at the back.

There's a two-page spread of important numbers and contacts.

There's also stickers!

Another difference between this year's and last year's planner are the double-sided folders (last year was only one-sided).

The plastic pouch provided in the back is no different from last year. Here, I store custom labels, gift labels, and two gold paper clips included with the planner.

This year, I decided to order custom adhesive notepads to adhere to the very back of my planner. I figured they'd be handy to write whatever my heart desires.

The back of my planner... Isn't it gorgeous?!

Overall, I am very happy with my Life Planner! For me, the pros and cons are almost identical to my 2013 Life Planner review:

- personal customization
- plenty of designs to choose from
- very sturdy and great quality
- monthly spread - helps me stay organized and see what my month will look like at a glance
- each day is divided into morning, day, and night
- goals & notes list in every weekly schedule page
- you can use this planner for anything: journal, food tracking, exercise tracking, to dos, deadlines, whatever!

- this doesn't fit into my everyday purse, so I can't bring it on the go
- spiral gets in the way when I write on Wednesday blocks

I think this planner is worth every penny! The way I see it, if you purchase a regular Life Planner, you'd be spending about $4.17 per month. The gold edition would cost about $6.25 per month. If you're the type of person who likes to keep track of daily appointments, to-dos, meal plans, exercise plans, or journaling, the Erin Condren Life Planner would be a great investment for you!

Right now, Erin Condren is having a 40% off combo sale. In order for the code to work, you would need to have both the Life Planner and Gift Labels in your cart. The code is COMBO2014! If you would rather wait for an 18-month planner or just a 2015 planner, I believe they will be available to purchase in June!

If you have further questions or would like more details about the Life Planner, please feel free to ask! I would be happy to assist you in any way I can!

  1. I need one of these!!
Anywhere I go I always bring a notebook and pen or ask if the person who owns the home has one I can use. XD I'm always planning, writing down important things, writing nonsense, and it's all a huge mess full of many different notebooks. Thanks so much for sharing! I have to look into getting one of these cuties for myself. c:

  3. It's beautiful! I think I need to get one of these as well. I was keeping everything on my phone, but an update wiped it all out. Paper always trumps machine.

Thank you for taking the time to read and comment on my blog. ♥
